Born out of a personal need for intentional community along with a realization that she was not alone in the isolating aspects of motherhood, Nichole planted the seeds in 2018 to lead a monthly gathering for ladies living in Chicago’s north side neighborhoods.
Kindred Mamas is a supportive sisterhood that exists to honor the growth that mothers experience alongside their developing children. We gather to create sacred space to express the frustrations and elations that occur along this journey. We encourage a consistent devotion to ourselves to ensure healthy personal & spiritual growth, that, therefore, reaches to our families. Through this self-acknowledgement, self-exploration, and self-care we hope to ensure a more positive path for our community.
Sign up for the next gathering below!

You’re invited to Nichole’s home in Rogers Park on varying Saturdays for a morning of supportive self-care.
Each gathering will leave you feeling nurtured and restored through kinship, meditation, a group tarot/oracle card reading & discussion, and quiet reflection. We will utilize tarot cards as a means of exploring symbols and themes common in one another’s personal experiences rather than as a form of “fortune telling”.
Come and co-create sacred space with the intention to recenter and recharge. Please leave children home so as to allow for insights, healing, & growth.
Note: In lieu of a participation fee Nichole requests that parents bring a snack to share or make a $5 donation to contribute to the time and energy spent facilitating. Donations can be cash or sent via venmo: @Nichole-Harrod
Due to her work as a postpartum doula who is frequently in close contact with newborns, and out of respect for anyone immunocompromised, Nichole may require that participants to wear masks, depending on how Cook County Covid case numbers are during that particular month.
